Associate — Intellectual Property Transactions
Our San Francisco office has an immediate opening for an associate in the Intellectual Property Transactions practice. You will advise technology and life sciences companies on IP licensing, technology transfer, joint development agreements, and IP aspects of M&A transactions.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable reviewing technical documentation and negotiating commercial terms. You will collaborate closely with our M&A and corporate teams on strategic transactions and with clients' in-house IP counsel on portfolio management matters.
Requirements
- J.D. and a technical undergraduate degree (computer science, electrical engineering, or life sciences strongly preferred)
- 2–4 years of IP transactions experience at a law firm
- California Bar admission required
- Experience with software licensing, SaaS agreements, and patent licensing preferred
- USPTO registration a plus
